Prescott Flying Club Aircraft

The Cirrus & Piper aircraft that make up our fleet are well maintained and constantly upgraded.  All four aircraft are IFR certified.  Rates are WET and are based on TACH time vs. the standard HOBBS time typically used by FBO’s.  This allows members to get billed for TACH but log HOBBS.  Depending on the type of flying, this can save quite a bit of money!

The maintenance and escrow charges below are added to the price of the fuel to arrive at the total wet rate that is charged.

Club Facilities

Currently the club owns one large (59.5' x 39'), insulated and heated hanger where the Cirrus is stored and where maintenance is performed. The opening is 43.5 feet wide and 12 feet high. Our hangar is equipped with wireless internet access and a computer terminal for flight planning and training.

Members can park on either side of the hangar. Since you enter the field through a controlled gate, you can park your car there with relative security for over-night/multiple day trips.

The Archer and Warrior are kept in nearby T-hangars. Since all club airplanes have 4-place intercoms, an extra headset is available for a very small rental fee for those occasions where you might be short a head set.

We maintain a supply of consumables such as oil, landing lights, etc. in the hangar. Cleaning supplies (detergents, cloths, towels) are also kept in the hanger and our members clean up the aircraft from bugs and other dirt on the windshield, cowlings and leading edges after each flight.  We regularly hold airplane washes and other club social events to give our members a chance to do some quality "hangar-flying".

We encourage the continuous aviation education of our members and provide access to a number of club-affiliated CFIs. We highly encourage our members to participate in WINGS proficiency training.
